The Celestial Fire

Turned to fuel
The furnace

Of ravenous desire
Spurred by

The Noble Lie
Of Progress

Boundless to
The eye

Which we all
Heedless

Rush to buy
Mortgaging

The future
As we cry

“Eat, drink,
And be merry

“For tomorrow
We die!”
