Perched atop Golgotha’s crest

Spirit nailed to cross of flesh

Buried in the blighted breast

Cries of distress

Echo through the ancient edifice

Lost in the maze of genesis

Beguiled by the play of elements

To combat a phantom nemesis

Formed by sense-fed evidence

Birthing pernicious prejudice

Ancestor of actions venomous —

But on the precipice of helplessness

The bloodied brow is cleansed

By kindly Providence

Eyes a light with the route of exodus

From thought formed pestilence

Drowning the land in dreadfulness

To heaven ascend

On the wings of noble Pegasus

To dwell in conscious blessedness

A Bodhisattva of benevolence
