This the introduction to a multi-part series.

This series of pieces, while addressing metaphysical principles, won’t go into exhaustive detail on theology, philosophy, psychology, or symbolism. I have striven to “simplify simplify”, keeping the subject matter clear and engaging for the average reader. For those who would like to dig deeper into those subjects, a reading list will be included in the final article. This series was written for practical people who desire to be both hearers and doers of the words of knowledge, as given to us by the sages of old, on how to realize the life more abundant. While insights from many of the world’s wisdom traditions will be cited, particular emphasis will be placed on a psycho — spiritual reading of the teachings of the Christian Bible, too often stuck within the narrow confines of the fundamentalist — skeptic dichotomy, leaving many earnest seekers stranded upon the bars of dogma and irreverence.

The question may be asked why the ancient writers veiled their lessons in allegory, parable, and symbol, rather than telling them out right.
